Today, the terms “windmills” and “wind generators” are used synonymously. Many people refer to a wind generator as a windmill. Learning how to make your own windmill is as simple as finding a great set of plans and going through them step by step. Plans today generally include directions for building a wind generator (or windmill) and solar panels. These both make great projects to begin getting “off the grid” which means you are not dependent on the utility companies. What a great feeling!
